We're Dora and Alex. This whole thing started in 2003 with a summer in Milan, one of those trips that was meant to be a week and quietly turned into a habit. Twenty-odd years later, the habit has produced road trips up and down Italy, a long loop around South-East Asia, Christmases in South Africa, an East Coast America run, a Baltic cruise, two full circumnavigations (a proper round-the-world and a later cut-the-world-in-half) that took us through the Andes, China, Japan, India, Australia and a scattering of island stops in between — plus a daughter, a son, a couple of country moves, and a stubborn loyalty to the UK and Greece, which we keep going back to no matter what. Across 218 posts and 3,990 photos we've covered 39 countries on 8 continents, spanning 2003 to 2024. Everything here — words, pictures, the occasional bad map — was made by us, mostly so the kids can one day read about the trips they were too young to remember, and so we never again have to argue about which sushi place in Tokyo was the good one.
