I am not sure what is more nerve breaking; all the things we have to do because we are leaving or all the things we have to do because we are going...

It is confusing I know, but there are 2 different voices in my head. One is telling me that I forgot to stop a bill, close an account or pay something that I will get a fine later if I don’t.

The other voice is constantly whispering about the things I want to pack with me, in a constant battle against the restricted space in our 2 rucksacks.

I have a graph that shows how many gadgets you can pack by reducing the amount of cloths in a fixed rucksack space. It becomes more interesting if you project it against another graph that displays the amount of flies you attract against the number of clean cloths you have left with, for a fixed shower-time-interval of one week.

Getting ready for a 4-month trip should not take more than 4 months to plan, but it feels that we have been planning this for ever…

Well, here we are in the final week of preparations. Not much left to do and plenty of time to: pack, search more info online, get a Chinese visa, book hostels for every city, book a couple of extra cross country flights, send our stuff back to Greece, book a few more activities, stop the gas bill, the electricity, council tax, landline (noooo, not the internet !!!).

Finally, sell my Fiat Punto (dam it, why did I pick Orange), and if I get any spare time I have to contact all our friends to laugh at their faces for having to go to work every morning.

Forget about sleep—there’s a long flight to Cuba for that. Next update, hopefully from the BA lounge (thanks sky for the silver frequently flyer status). Until then, get back to work, everyone!
