Milan

This is our first road trip, and we chose northern Italy for two reasons. First, there’s a wedding we must get to in Lucca, and then we booked to see the F1 race in Monza. In between, we’ll drive everywhere in the top half of Italy. We’ll fly to Milan and rent a car to drive through: Como, Maggiore and Lugano lakes, Tyrol villages, Bolzano, Verona, Venice, Florence, Siena, Montepulciano, San Gimignano, Lucca (wedding), Pisa, Modena, Parma, Maranello, Monza (F1), and back to Milan to return the car—17 days and 1,515 km later...

Unfortunately, when we returned to Athens, someone broke into my car and took my backpack with my laptop and the memory cards from my camera, so the pictures from this trip are gone. I’m using whatever I could scrape from friends at the wedding in Lucca, and the rest of the trip is logged here only for the stats.

I promise to do the trip again one day and re-take all the pictures we lost…
