Orlando

It seems like the word 'planning' is practically my middle name for this trip, and it definitely didn't stop with Disney World! After leaving the magic behind, we took a quick 20-minute ride to Orlando downtown and checked into the Castle Hotel. This place had a unique vibe and served as the perfect base for the next leg of our adventure.

Day 1 kicked off sweetly with a visit to the chocolate factory. Not only did we learn about the fascinating process of making chocolate, but we also got to indulge in some delicious treats. The kids were in heaven, and so were we!

In the afternoon, we embraced a bit of local culture and took the kids to a live country music bar, Ole Red. It might sound unconventional, but the atmosphere was fun, and the music was lively—perfect for an early evening out.

We ended the night with a stroll around the ICON amusement park area, conveniently located next to our hotel. The area was bustling with energy, and the kids loved seeing the giant Ferris wheel lit up against the night sky.

Day 2 was all about hands-on fun at the Science Center. This interactive museum was a hit with the kids, offering plenty of activities to spark their curiosity and keep them entertained for hours. In the afternoon, we ventured into WonderWorks, a bizarre but fascinating place filled with quirky installations that challenged the senses and the mind.

Day 3 was full of color as we took the kids to the Crayola Experience. This massive space was a dream come true for any kid (and many adults!), filled with crayon-themed activities and creative stations. The afternoon saw us exploring Universal CityWalk, an open-space park/mall area just outside Universal Studios. The highlight here was the Chocolate Emporium restaurant, where we indulged in some truly over-the-top milkshakes that were as fun to look at as they were to drink.

With our Orlando adventure complete, it was time to pack up and head to our next destination: Miami! The excitement never stops on this trip, and we’re ready for the next chapter.
