Changi Airport

We left Langkawi early in the morning and returned to Singapore, where we had a very late (23:00) flight back to London. So, what do you do during a full-day stopover? Most travel guides suggest storing your luggage and heading into the city for a day trip—it’s only 30 minutes away by taxi, after all.

However, as someone who prides himself on being a holiday booking master, I had something else in mind. To the untrained eye, spending an entire day at the airport might sound crazy, but this isn’t just any airport. This is THE airport—Changi Airport, which is listed among the best attractions in Singapore. It’s connected to a huge mall with an even bigger food court, and the fountain which alone is worth the visit.

After 15 days of packed sightseeing, walking, and absorbing all that Southeast Asia has to offer, we were just too tired for another city adventure. So, the decision was made to stay at Changi and explore all it had to offer. And I have to say, I highly recommend it. For anyone doing a stopover at Changi Airport, take some time to explore—you won’t regret it.
