Agra

Agra is famous for Taj Mahal, which for many, is the most beautiful structure in the world. That might be true but I can tell you that Agra itself is pretty ugly, dirty and polluted and it is difficult to find a clean spot outside the Taj monument.

I am sure the feeling that you are getting through these weblogs is a negative vibe about India but I would like to state that not everything is as bad. Just most things, but the cost of living can make up for any difficulties you might experience. Also, we have been traveling for more than 100 days and we are getting a bit tired hence more fussy.

Taj Mahal is a very nice structure indeed, and when you realise how long it took to carve and engrave all that marble, it gets even more interesting.

We drove from Delhi to Agra with Xavier Sunday early morning and got time to exploring the city. Xavier had to go back to Delhi in the evening so we continued our trip to Jaipur on a bus for 6 hours.

The cheap bus trip (£2 each) spared us some cash to blow on a nice hotel in Jaipur (we desperately needed the shower!!!).
