San Francisco
When you fly from Asia to USA across the Pacific you get this strange Christopher-Nolan-Time effect of turning back for a few hours. So we left Monday at early hours in the morning for a 9.5 hour flight only to arrive Sunday evening !!!). So here is what we did on Monday AGAIN
San Francisco is smaller than you think (or at least in my mind was bigger) with a population of just 800K and the size of Patra (3rd city in Greece) or else 20 times smaller than Tokyo where we just came from...
If you search on the internet there are a handful of things you can do here including Golden Bridge, Alcatraz prison and Pier 39 and the famous crab restaurants at the Fishermans Wharf . The rest is just a normal town of the west coast known for its good weather and gay parades. So we arrived in the afternoon and we did all that (excluding the parade as there was none going on).
In order to explore the city fast, we took the tram that travels very slow with people hanging on both sides, but it is hilly place and Americans do not like to walk. We visited the famous Lombard street (zig zag road) and we ended up in the evening at pier for crab soup and shrimps.
This was a "lazy day" by our traveling standards but tomorrow the plan is packed so packed we need Nolan's help again to fit everything in...
