Day 5 - S.africa - Kruger Park

I booked an ethical safari tour (Siyabona Africa – Sabi) that offered tented accommodation just outside the park's borders. It was more of a "glamping" experience than traditional camping, but it certainly delivered the genuine adventure I was looking for.

Over the course of three days, we explored various areas of Kruger, each offering unique landscapes and wildlife encounters. The days were filled with game drives, where we were lucky enough to tick off all of the Big Five: lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo, and rhinos. Beyond these iconic animals, we were also treated to sightings of countless other species, from towering giraffes to playful zebras, and even some less common creatures that added to the excitement.

At night, we gathered around a campfire, sharing stories under the stars while enjoying traditional South African BBQs (braais). The sounds of the wild surrounding us—crickets chirping, distant roars, and the occasional rustling in the bushes—made the experience even more authentic and unforgettable.
