We came here to escape the boiling Mediterranean...and now we complain that is not hot enough...
This year, we decided to escape the intense summer heat that we experienced last year in Rome and planned a holiday in the northern parts of the Mediterranean. Our trip was divided into two parts: a stay at Amadria Park and a visit to Split (split into Split, you might say).
Amadria Park is a well-known all-inclusive resort. While the weather wasn't on our side (we picked the only week in summer that wasn’t sunny) and the prices were high due to the transition to euros (something we’re all too familiar with from Greece in 2001), it was still a very family-friendly and pleasant holiday spot. The resort had plenty of attractions nearby, and with our rental car, we explored places like Krka Park with its stunning waterfalls and St. Nicholas’s Fortress. Overall, it was a relaxing four days.
