Bergamo

With an extra day to spare in Italy after our ski trip, we decided to explore the charming city of Bergamo. Known as the birthplace of stracciatella ice cream, our first stop had to be La Marianna, the original gelateria where this delicious flavour was invented.

A fun twist to the day: I had to toss my snowboard boots to make space in our luggage, which gave me the perfect excuse to visit a local supermarket. Stocking up on some local cheese turned out to be a great idea—because who can resist Italian cheese? Overall, it was a delightful and unexpected addition to our trip, making the most of our final day in Italy.
