Seoul

The last day in Seoul we visited the southern part of the city below the river.

But first we made a stop to the Fish market. This is the best and largest fish market I have ever seen. People talk about Tokyo's wholesale tuna market but for retail this is the most impressive. Hundreds of stalls selling the weirdest things living in the sea (and seas of other planets). Check out the pictures (this is a small sample of what was on display an only took photos of the cute ones).

The guide book said that you can pick up a fish, take it to the restaurants upstairs and they will clean it, serve it raw (sashimi) and make you a soup from the leftovers. This is what we did skipping the first part (selection) as no one spoke any English and also we could easily pick something that would end up eating us instead.

After the market we walked around Yeouldo. This is typically an island in the south part which is a high class residential area. This is the place to be if you live in Seoul. Nice parks, modern facilities, and river views.

The day (and our trip in Seoul) ended in the famous fountain bridge. I will not say much, you need to check out the photos and the video.

enjoy...
