Tokyo
We are back in Tokyo !!! (Glow from happiness and not from radiation - Fukushima accident was 3 months ago - and yes it was too late to cancel the trip so the joke is on you when we come back to see you...
The city is great. We are staying for 3 days only, and there are so many things to see and do...
When we planned this trip we set to visit new places for 4 days and places we have been before but we loved to go back for a couple of days.
Tokyo is one of those loved places and we could not resist coming back to Asia without dropping here for our Asian fix. This time round we will not get to do any sightseeing; instead we will try to live the everyday life in Tokyo.
We started at the traditional Japanese hotel (Ryokan style) where we left our luggage and gone out to see the neighbourhood (Asasuka).
It is late evening so we will not go any further but Asasuka has a lot to offer. Home of a very famous shrine (senso si), a market, and the Asahi headquarters (heaven...)
We also visited a nearby Origami museum. Very cool things you can do with paper. Japanese have made folding paper into art.
I am too tired and jet lugged so this is as much as I remember from day 1 in Tokyo...
